As to support their Corporate Procurement team in their future growth, they are looking for a Group Procurement Category Manager Indirect Spend

Purpose of the Position

  • In the scope of procurement categories assigned (transport, infrastructure and equipment), you will develop and execute the category management strategy
  • Your ability to solve problems and drive change across different entities of the Group will be key to your success. You will engage and support internal stakeholders and a diverse group of external suppliers and partners.

Key Tasks

  • Deliver the category strategy in line with the overall procurement strategy, and translate into a operational purchasing planning
  • Participate actively or take the lead in purchasing projects in categories assigned in close collaboration with the requesting entity or department
  • In the scope of procurement files, review and challenge traditional ways of working in order to continuously improve customer service, operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Research and evaluate new source opportunities within assigned categories and support the divisional and local category teams in the implementation
  • Act as a role model for our customer's values of Passion, Entrepreneurial, Reliable, Creative and Sharing and instill values in the team;
  • Support specific procurement projects by adding project management capabilities and category intelligence on a support basis

Profile

  • University master degree in engineering or economics with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an analytical role (finance, project management, sourcing & procurement)
  • Minimum 3 years of procurement experience – ideally in an international role and / or transport or infrastructure categories
  • Fluency in English, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of a European language is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft-Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
